Our Pipeline Masters are the heart of what we do. Each one is carefully handpicked not just for their industry experience and technical expertise, but also for the individuality they bring to the table. We don’t believe in cookie-cutter teams—every person here adds something unique, and we harness that to push the boundaries of what’s possible in our industry.
We’re here to make a lasting impact, driven by a collective vision and the unique talents of our people. Together, we’re building something bigger than ourselves—one project at a time.
Safety is at the core of everything we do.
We are committed to providing a safe working environment for our team, our clients, and the wider community. Plumbing and drainage work often involves heavy machinery, excavation, confined spaces, and potentially hazardous materials — which is why we take health and safety seriously, every step of the way.
Our team is fully trained and certified, and we follow all industry regulations and best practices to ensure work is completed safely and responsibly. From thorough site assessments to the use of proper PPE, safe handling of materials, and clear communication on-site, we don’t cut corners when it comes to safety.
We also maintain up-to-date Health & Safety policies, conduct regular risk assessments, and continuously review and improve our systems to meet the highest standards.
Whether we’re working on a residential, commercial, or rural property, you can trust that safety is always our top priority.
Our journey began over 25 years ago, when an 8-year-old Steve—closely supervised, of course—climbed into his uncle’s excavator and moved dirt for the very first time. That moment sparked a lifelong passion. Growing up deeply involved in one of the country’s largest excavation businesses, Steve developed skills and experience far beyond his years. By the age of 20, he already had a solid foundation in the industry that rivalled many seasoned professionals.
But digging holes wasn’t quite enough.
In his early 20s, Steve stumbled upon the world of plumbing. Suddenly, it wasn’t just about playing in the dirt—it was about washing it off too (and getting paid for both). That’s when the perfect partnership of Plumbing and Drainage was born.
Steve quickly earned his qualifications and built experience across residential and commercial projects in both Auckland and Christchurch. Along the way, he discovered something even more important than technical skill: the value of taking pride in his work, delivering consistent quality, and truly caring for the people he serves.
Fast forward to today, and Steve’s love for machinery, mud, and solving problems is stronger than ever. He’s known for being solutions-focused, adaptable, approachable, and always putting others first—whether it’s his clients or his team.
ENTER MADDY-
Luckily for Steve, Maddy (co-founder) came onto the scene early in his career. While Steve was busy laying pipes, Maddy was building her own path in business management. With years of experience leading large-scale operations, her expertise spans sales, HR, leadership, training, recruitment, operations, finance, marketing, and team development.
Maddy brings a sharp eye for detail, a passion for workplace culture, and a strong belief that happy people do great work. She’s all about creating an environment where the team feels empowered, supported, and proud of what they do.
WHAT DRIVES US?
Together, Steve and Maddy have created a company that’s grounded in strong values, exceptional service, and an incredible team culture. They believe in doing things the right way—from providing the best possible outcomes for clients, to building a team that truly has each other’s backs.
Just like surfing, life in this industry has its peaks and troughs. But at Pipeline Masters, we ride every wave together—with skill, strength, and a whole lot of good humour.
We Care About Our Environment
We understand that the plumbing and drainage industry can have a significant impact on the environment—especially on our natural water systems. That’s why sustainability isn’t just a buzzword for us; it’s something we actively integrate into our everyday operations, planning, and decision-making.
We take real, practical steps to reduce our environmental footprint through:
We prioritise water-saving solutions and technologies in every job we do—from low-flow fixtures to efficient plumbing designs that reduce water usage and waste. Our goal is to help clients conserve water without compromising on performance or comfort.
Wherever possible, we select sustainable, non-toxic, and recyclable materials that are durable and safe for both people and the planet. We stay up-to-date with environmentally responsible products and innovations in the industry.
Construction and plumbing work can generate significant waste—but we don’t let it go unchecked. We work hard to minimise what ends up in landfills by properly sorting, recycling, and disposing of materials in accordance with local regulations and best practices.
During any project, we take care to protect surrounding landscapes, waterways, and ecosystems. This includes erosion control, sediment containment, and careful site management to prevent contamination or disruption to natural areas.
We look beyond the immediate job to provide long-term, sustainable outcomes. Whether it’s designing systems for rainwater harvesting, greywater reuse, or energy-efficient heating, we’re always looking for smart, future-focused solutions that reduce environmental impact and support a healthier planet.
We believe good plumbing and drainage work shouldn’t come at the cost of the environment.
When you work with us, you’re partnering with a team that’s committed to doing what’s right—for you, and for the world we share.
