Our purpose is to lead the way in Canterbury with plumbing and drainage and be a top employer.

We don’t cut corners, we take pride in our work and we deliver excellent results. 

    Our story started 25 years ago, when Steve (founder of the company), at age 8, got to drive his uncle’s excavator for the first time (with appropriate supervision of course). Steve’s love for moving dirt grew, and his exposure to, and experience in, the family’s excavation business (one of the largest in the country), led to him having more knowledge and skill than many in the industry, by the age of 20.  
 

Playing with dirt wasn't quite enough though, and through some chance exposure to plumbing work his early 20's, Steve realised that he could play with dirt and wash it off too (and get paid for it). Thus the marriage of Plumbing and Drainage blossomed. Steve quickly earned his tickets and gained significant experience across residential and commercial work (both in Auckland and Christchurch). Importantly, he learnt about having pride in his work and that providing quality and customer care is what matters above all else. 

Fast forward to now, and Steve’s love for machinery, mud and solving peoples’ problems has only grown. Steve is solutions focused, adaptable, personable and always puts others first (whether that is his clients or his team). 

Maddy (co-founder) came onto the scene early in Steve’s career (luckily for him). While Steve was busy laying and installing pipes, Maddy was busy working on her own career in Business Management. Maddy has years of experience running large scale businesses and her skills encompass sales, human resources, leadership, development and training, recruitment, operations, finances, marketing, management, and having an eye for detail. She has a passion for providing a healthy and fun work culture and believes that if your people are happy, they will work with you to achieve results.
 

Together, Maddy and Steve seek to provide outstanding service to their clients, while also creating and maintaining  an amazing team culture that embraces the company’s key values. Just like surfing, the Pipeline Masters team embrace the peaks and troughs of any wave approaching and ride it out together.
